Healtho Terms
This page contains the terms currently used for Healtho member onboarding. More Healtho terms may be added here later.
Data Processing And Privacy Consent
By submitting the onboarding form, you consent to Healtho W.L.L. collecting and processing the personal data and sensitive health data you provide. Healtho uses this information for underwriting, risk assessment, enrollment, coverage administration, claims processing, pre-authorization, regulatory compliance, and reporting to the Central Bank of Bahrain.
Healtho may share the minimum necessary personal or health data with network healthcare providers, third-party administrators, the Central Bank of Bahrain, and reinsurers where needed for direct billing, treatment verification, claims processing, compliance, and risk management.
Healtho keeps your personal data for the duration of your coverage and for any additional period required by law or regulation. After that, it will be securely destroyed or anonymised.
Your rights
- Access the personal data Healtho holds about you.
- Ask Healtho to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask Healtho to delete data where deletion is legally allowed.
- Withdraw consent, understanding this may affect eligibility, coverage, or claims handling.
- File a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority if you believe your data rights were violated.
This consent is voluntary. If you do not consent to health-data processing, Healtho may be unable to enroll you, administer your coverage, or process your claims.
Regulatory Sandbox Participation Consent
By enrolling in a Healtho group medical insurance plan, you acknowledge and agree that Healtho currently operates within the Central Bank of Bahrain Regulatory Sandbox.
- Healtho W.L.L. is an authorised Regulatory Sandbox Participant operating under Central Bank of Bahrain supervision.
- The policy is issued under a subscription-based health model approved through the CBB Sandbox. Its structure may differ from traditional health insurance.
- Coverage may include progressive limit unlocking and fractionalised premiums.
- The CBB monitors Healtho's capital adequacy, and customer funds are segregated in line with applicable CBB requirements.
- Sandbox authorisation may be modified, suspended, or revoked by the CBB. If that happens, Healtho will notify affected members and make reasonable efforts to maintain continuity or support transition.
- Any unearned premium will be refunded on a pro-rata basis where applicable.
Your participation is voluntary. You confirm that you have had the opportunity to ask questions about the Sandbox framework before providing consent.
Declaration And Signature
When you tick the consent checkbox and sign the onboarding form, you make the following declarations:
- The information you submit is true, complete, and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have not withheld material information about your health, medical history, current conditions, or other insurance coverage.
- Material misrepresentation or deliberate non-disclosure may result in denied claims, voided coverage, recovery of claims already paid, or reporting to relevant authorities.
- Declared pre-existing conditions may be reviewed by Healtho's underwriting team and may be subject to waiting periods, sub-limits, or exclusions.
- Coverage does not become effective until the onboarding form is completed, required consents are given, required documents are received, and Healtho completes its review.
- You will notify Healtho of material changes to your health status or other insurance coverage during the policy period.
Your electronic signature is treated as your confirmation of the onboarding information, privacy consent, Sandbox participation consent, and declaration above.
